Sunday March 21 // 1:00pm // Bollum’s Home

by admin on Mar.01, 2010, under Baptisms

Hope you will all join us Sunday March 21 after church for lunch at 1:00pm  followed by baptisms in the warm waters of the Bollum spa. Or for those of you who want a better story to tell, we can use the pool which is currently hovering somewhere in the 50′s.

Mike and Sharon have graciously opened their home to us and have coordinated a great lunch, so all you have to do is show up! If you’d like to proclaim your dependence of Jesus for the forgiveness of sin and the new life you are living, show up ready to be baptized. We have a few folks already scheduled to make this statement, but we will also open it up for those who have never been baptized and feel the impression to do it now.

Directions can be found here.

For more information on baptism contact Stu.

For more information on how to help out on the 21st, contact Sharon.

by admin on Jul.21, 2009, under Labor Day Camping

Below are the specific details, if you are coming for sure please shoot adam@discipleschurch.net an email of when and how many just so we can be sure to have space set aside for you. Though, If your plans come together at the last minute, do not hesitate to just pop in.

We do not have much “programmed” for our time together, so bring your favorite board game, water toy or equipment for the lake. Sly Park also boasts excellent fishing, mountain and road cycling, hiking and more. We will plan to play during the days and then all gather together each night around 530p for dinner. Bring a salad or side dish to share if you like.

LOCATION: Sly Park Recreation Area, Jenkinson Lake // 4771 Sly Park Road, Pollock Pines, Ca // our reserved sites are in the Sierra zone, sites #76, #80, #101  download maps of our specific camping area from eid.org (link listed below).

WHAT TO BRING: Bring everything you need to camp. We provide the campsite, you provide your other needs. We will eat together each night so if you are willing to prepare enough of your side dish to share we can benefit from each other’s good cooking.

FEES: You do NOT need to pay for the campsites, though donations can be made by giving online if you are able. You will be charged $15 per day per vehicle for parking at the gate so plan accordingly…we strongly encourage you to car pool as we are limited to just a few cars per site, and every car will be charged.

REGISTER: really simple, just email adam@discipleschurch and let him know you’re coming. give him # of adults/kids you’re bringing, as well as dates and times of when you’ll be there. We have a limited amount of space available so let us know ASAP to ensure we  have space set aside for you overnight.  Of course we will try to add more sites as needed for as long as they are available.
