If you could only listen to one song again and again for the rest of your life which would you choose?

Refine Me by Jennifer Knapp because it reminds me of God’s mercy.

Here’s how I gave my life to Christ…

When I was a child I always believed in God. I told my friends about Him even though I really didn’t know anything other than the fact that “He is real”. I had a few really awesome experiences in Junior High when friends would bring me to youth group. In high school I was caught smoking under the age of 15 and was sentenced to 80 hours of community service. I spent the hours folding mailers at a local youth group and finally found my place in the scary world I lived in through the acceptance I was shown. This is where I truly learned how to live life with God.

What are your hopes and dreams for the areas of ministry you lead at Disciples Church?

My heart for our ministry is that God will use our team to love on the children of Folsom. I hope and dream that our program will be known as a safe place children can find acceptance and love like they’ve never experienced. I truly believe that God’s plan for the children of Disciples Church is to equip children with self-confidence and truth that only Jesus can teach. They will leave our service and spread the  excitement of Jesus in the Folsom School Districts. I pray that when we leave Theodore Judah on Sunday mornings that we leave behind rooms full of God’s grace and Mercy.

Here’s how I gave my life to Christ…
I prayed a scripted prayer when I was 5, I am sure I meant it but I don’t remember it at all. I truly gave my life to Jesus when I was a freshman in High School because I was sick of trying to make life work on my own and I realized nothing could make me whole or forgiven but Jesus.

What are your hopes and dreams for the areas of ministry you lead at Disciples Church?
I hope and dream that 10 years from now when surveying random people in the community regarding what they would think if Disciples Church vanished, they would respond with: “I met Christ in that community. I don’t know what we would do without that church…it makes such a huge difference in our lives and the life of Folsom.”
